ZERO-Californina Logo-FULLCOLOR Vanessa HeadshotMore than 14,500 men in California will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2017, with more than 3,000 local men expected to die this year alone. To spearhead the boots on the ground effort in the Golden State, ZERO is excited to announce the formation of our California Chapter and the hire of our Chapter Director Vanessa Petersen.

ZERO will expand efforts to California to continue to support men and families in their own backyards by providing patient-centric programs in addition to our Run/Walk events. The California Chapter joins ZERO’s growing base of regional chapters in Texas, the Midwest, and the Mid-Atlantic.

If you’re in California and want to get more involved in prostate cancer, a disease that affects one in eight American men, contact Vanessa!

The Drive for Men’s Health

The Drive for Men’s Health started four years ago with the mission to increase awareness of men’s health issues and to encourage men to make their health a priority. Each June for Men’s Health Month the Drive goes across the country in an all-electric Tesla S and makes planned stops to encourage men to get better sleep, quit smoking, be more active, eat healthy and decrease stress. In 2017, the Drive for Men’s Health will stop in Orlando, New Orleans, Houston, Los Angeles, and culminating at the ZERO Run/Walk in Salt Lake City.
