Brian Nolen

Brian Nolen was diagnosed with Stage IV prostate cancer when he was just 49 years old. In February of 2016, a positive DRE and pelvic CT scan revealed that his prostate cancer had spread, and he had a tumor around the neck of his bladder and metastasis on three of his pelvic lymph nodes.

After consulting a second opinion regarding his treatment, Brian’s physician began him on a course of hormone therapy and chemotherapy and then performed a radical prostatectomy. To treat his disease Brian will undergo radiation therapy, and has had his bladder removed due to the extent of his metastases.

I want to help raise funds, increase awareness, and provide personal loving support and inspiration to others.

Though he knows there is no cure for Stage IV prostate cancer, Brian battles his disease with hope for the future. In the next few months he will call on his strength and determination to train for 5K, 10K, and half marathon events. After finding ZERO’s website, Brian plans to don his brand new ZERO gear at these events and is joining ZERO’s efforts to increase awareness of the disease and to provide support to those who need it.

I’m coming through this darkness in part to be able to shine light on down the road for those following me.
