Al Wallace

Al Wallace is a native Texan and a graduate of Texas Tech University. His career in broadcast television news and sports spanned five different decades and 40 years. He spent 33 years as a sports reporter and anchor at WDAF-TV, Kansas City’s oldest and most trusted television station. He has covered three World Series, three MLB All-Star Games, nine NCAA Final Fours, and countless professional, college and high school sporting events. Al and his wife Marlena live in Overland Park, Kansas, and have two daughters, Chase and Chaney.

Al’s autobiography, One for the Coyotes: How I survived 40 years of my dream job in tv news (and cancer too), chronicles his life, including his fight against cancer.
