My Dad had always wanted to go see a Nascar race. In March of 2005, I received a phone call from a friend that wanted to give me 2 tickets to the Atlanta race if I would just use them. So I called my Dad to see if he could go. We did go, and to see the smile on his face as we entered the race track. He didn’t know he had prostate cancer at the time. In Jan. of the next year, He was diagnosed with prostate cancer and given 6 months. We lost dad in June of 2006. I can just remember him thanking me in making one of his wishes come true. I since was diagnosed with prostate cancer through early screening. Had radical surgery, 2 years cancer free now.
