Making an Impact in Minnesota one PSA Test at a Time

Part of what makes ZERO so special is that we recognize we can make more of an impact when we partner with others. With Prostate Cancer Awareness Month (PCAM) in full swing, and our race series breezing by with every passing weekend, we wanted to share how ZERO is partnering within the Minnesota community to make a bigger impact in prostate cancer awareness.

ZERO has been working with the Minnesota Urology Foundation over the past few years, but this year the partnership has become even stronger. Together we have made prostate cancer a real topic of discussion for Minnesotans.

Minnesota Urology Foundation saw that there was a need to educate men about the importance of Men’s Health and early detection. So together, we decided to do something about it. Over the past year, the Foundation and ZERO have been hosting free PSA screening events in various locations throughout the Twin Cities. At these events, there is always a Urologist from Minnesota Urology there to speak with the men and to answer any questions they may have.

For ZERO’s Prostate Cancer Run/Walk – Twin Cities, the foundation will be the local beneficiary. They will receive a portion of the funds raised from the race to be able to fund more screening events throughout the Twin Cities region. And for 2020, the hope is to double the amount of screening events so that we can reach TWICE as many men.

Thank you to the Minnesota Urology Foundation for your wonderful partnership!
